Teeter Hang Ups - Commercial Inversion Equipment The DEX • decompression &
extensionTM provides inversion while the
user in the 90/90 position--the optimum posture for decompression.
At 90/90 the user can maximize muscle performance while doing back extensions to prevent
hyperextension, because of the relationship between body position and gravity. In addition, the unique design
reduces the load on the hamstrings by placing the knees in a 90° position for relaxation, rather than straight-legged.
The DEX is the preferred device for inverting for a relaxing decompression
stretch or actively exercising to strengthen the lower back and abs. Users can experience a variety of benefits through its use.
Exercises
The DEX allows users to rotate forward in a bent
knee / bent hip position for stretching and exercise. This acts to decompress the hip joint, as well as the spinal column,
while allowing the user to be comfortable during the session.
Full inversion
Rotate into a fully inverted position for decompression and relaxation while keeping knees bent at a 90 degree angle. This reduces the hamstring load and keeps the knees relaxed.
Add traction
Traction handles can be used for leverage, permitting one to decompress the lower back.
Move and stretch
Improve flexibility and promote
healthy joints while stretching, using the handles and frame for leverage.
Perform back extensions
This unit places users in a body position
relevant to gravity that maximizes muscle performance, thus strengthening the lower back, while tempering the risk
of hyperextension.
Perform rotational back extensions
Strengthen obliques.
Crunches
Build core strength performing crunches with no
loads on the back.
